NKUKU, it begins as the story of a British family who travelled the world for several years, spending time in India and Africa, encountering different peoples and cultures, and discovering local skills and traditions.
Rich of these meetings with the craftsmen of the world, the family returns to Great Britain, and creates NKUKU, named after a village in Zambia.
NKUKU is specialized in the creation and marketing of decorative objects handmade by artisans, in accordance with fair trade principles and the’environment. These achievements are the marriage of ancient craftsmanship with designs and implement contemporary natural or recycled materials.
NKUKU is part of a fair trade approach: the manufacturers are paid a decent wage and work in good conditions. Of course, the work is not done by children.
