EA Deco (Europ'Africa) is a European company based in Donzère (France), Franck Recouras Massaquant is the general manager. It offers decorative objects inspired by theAfrica.

The concept

Created in 1995, EA Déco is specialized in the creation and theimport of decorative objects whose lines pay tribute to Africa (here Senegal), and to its creative genius.

EA Déco likes to use the expression "works with two hands" to illustrate its concept and its way of working, where Western artists and African craftsmen create contemporary works from ancestral traditional techniques.

A commitment social

To guarantee the brand's durability and impeccable production, EA Déco has opened a weaving training school for young girls from the villages.

In Africa, EA Déco is present in 14 villages, which is equivalent to about 2000 women employees. They are paid on a per piece basis: each African basket generates a percentage paid to a cooperative such as GIE.

This participatory system allows to finance projects such as the weaving training school, wells, photovoltaic panels etc.

A commitment humanitarian

EA Déco, like sixty other designers, is a sponsor of the NGO Prométhée Humanitaire through the donation of goods. In accordance with the association's approach, the profits generated by the sales are directly transferred to the creation of shelters for street children (Senegal, Haiti and Madagascar).

Through the creation of these centres, Prométhée Humanitaire is developing a long-term action to enable children to benefit from long-term follow-up in terms of health, culture, training and integration until they reach the age of majority.

Economador the art of recycling glass bottles!

While visiting a group of self-entrepreneurs in Brest, we discovered these unusual trays in glass bottles thermoformed. Aesthetic, ethical, and very practical!

Christophe, the young designer who makes them, explained his technique and showed us his workshop. His kindness and his motivation for his work convinced us: we have selected some of his objects for you.

Lilokawa recycles coffee bags into cushions, baskets, shopping bags, poufs...

Coming from a family of roasters in Rouen, Olivier was immersed in coffee, its flavours and its many origins from a very young age. Passionate about the recovery of natural materials, and a fan of decoration, Olivier began by creating his first objects for his family and friends.

And then one day, he turned his passion into his professional activity. He met Ludovic, who was in charge of the ERDRE et LOIRE INITIATIVES (ELI) integration structure in Ancenis. They decide to develop together jobs in the sewing workshop of ELI by making beautiful articles (cushions, baskets, baskets with handles) in jute fabric from recycled coffee bags 100%.

Objects from recyclable materials

The philosophy of Lilokawa is to produce in a responsible and sustainable manner, according to the principles of eco-design. By recycling coffee bagsLilokawa helps to limit the volume of material to be treated in waste disposal sites. The bags are recycled at 100%: the jute scraps, a vegetable and biodegradable material, are used as mulch for the local green spaces.

By collecting the bulk bags of coffee from within a 200 km radius of the workshop, and then carrying out all the processing phases on the same site, Lilokawa minimizes transport and the environmental impact of its activity.

These bags are washed, ironed, cut and sewn with great care. They become beautiful, practical and robust objects on which one can find, thanks to an inscription or a drawing, the country of origin of the bag.

For some creations, jute cloth is combined with other textiles such as cotton (scraps of jackets), or, recently, with dralon for the range of poufs and benches. For others, the lining is made of locally collected advertising tarpaulin, ensuring solidity and waterproofing.

We have selected for you cushions, baskets, shopping bags, poufs and benches for inside and outside and all "made in Nantes"!

NEW RANGE launched in June 2016 by Lilokawa: the 100% tote bags advertising canvas!

Very ingenious little objects that work thanks to thesolar energy

Marc Lebas is a designer of decorative objects and furnishings.
For the past 13 years, he has been working on the development ofsolar energy. Anxious to give more meaning to the objects that surround us, he founded Litogami in 2011.

Litogami's creations evoke the objects of yesteryear and at the same time illustrate the values of sustainable development. He is also working on the development of objects using new "green" technologies with French design offices.

Litogami's objects are ecological and socially responsible, with simple design and affordable prices: poetic and playful objects that educate children and adults while having fun.

Paper objects and photovoltaic !

These eco-objects have the particularity of associating a technology of the future, photovoltaic, a timeless design, and a paper structure easily customizable: The first of them, CASAGAMI (night lights - houses) appeared in 2013, the second, AUTOGAMI (car), was launched at the Maison et Objet show in September 2015. AUTOGAMI will win the silver medal at the Lépine International contest in 2016.

The solar battery is refillable. The cardboard comes from sustainably managed forests, the printing is certified Imprim 'vert (non-toxic inks and responsible waste management).

Litogami is aimed at children and adults alike: design lovers, eco-friendly parents, creative children, holidaymakers, scientists and interior decorators.

Litogami entrusts the packaging and the management of the shipments to disabled people at the Ateliers du Château in Rueil Malmaison and at the ESAT Agnelis in Agen. The boards and packaging are made in France.

Points of sale: Litogami objects are present in 40 countries and are offered mainly in bookstores, concept stores, museum shops, organic shops, and toy stores.

Luminaries poetic

Nexel Editionis a French company specialized in lighting fixtures and components. All its models are made in-house, from design to manufacturing.

We met the team for the first time in 2019 at Maison & Objet in Paris, and we had an instant crush on their range of LED bulbs coated with a layer of porcelain paste in colours, the well-named "Flower Power" range! We liked the concept of combining an industrial product like a light bulb with a porcelain paste applied by hand. Martin himself used to customize light bulbs in Flower Power mode when he was a child: Nexel Editio's light bulbs could only please him!

Discover the bulbs and many other Nexel Edition creations among our offer of lighting.

Meeting thehuman

Stéphanie Ledoux is a French artist who draws the people she meets during her travels. Thanks to her talent, she is able to communicate with her models: her art speaks to all people! She loves above all to observe the reaction of her models when they discover the portraits sketched on her notebook.

Her sketches are then used as a basis to finalize her works in the calm of her studio. She then brings to light the diversity and traditions of peoples and shares them with us with happiness!

Discover the works of Stéphanie Ledoux in certified reproductions, postcard or poster format. We take care of framing them in our own studio.

Objects loaded withhistory

Tribes & Kingdoms are materials that are sought after all over the world, empreints d’histoireMarked by time, worn, patinated, damaged. Wood, metal, textile. Re-thought, revisited, to create various objects and furniture.

Unique and singular metal frames created with antique Victorian plates

The frames that Kabambi has selected for you are rare pieces, we had never seen similar ones elsewhere. For the anecdote, we discovered them by chance, adorning the partitions of another stand at the Maison & Objet show in September 2014. We then looked for the exhibitor, and discovered these singular frames.

They are made from antique Victorian plates made of metal. Also called "Brooklyn Tiles", these plates are all period, as PG Boucot explains, and were used as false ceilings in English-speaking countries. Tribus & Royaumes has transformed them into frames, leaving them with their original patina.

The Victorian motifs in relief, characteristic of the end of the 19th century, are very diversified, and make of this material steeped in history, objects of decoration with a resolutely contemporary design. Each frame is a unique piece.

Wooden objects... unexpected !

The specialty of Woodhi is working with maple wood from the Jura, but not to make furniture or sculptures. No, Woodhi's productions are more unexpected! Its flagship products are indeed posters and postcards ! Designed from a very technical work of wood cutting, these decorative objects are very resistant! And they don't forget to be aesthetic, since Woodhi collaborates with artists from all over the world to illustrate them.

Each sheet of wood is different, so each Woodhi poster or postcard is unique! Maple is a tree that is not threatened by deforestation and the wood used has not been treated in any way. Woodhi is also sensitive to the recycling of waste.

One maple tree can make 90,000 cards: Woodhi replaces a young tree in the Jura every time this volume is reached.
