"La Maison d'Alep" works with two glass-blowing workshops in Damascus. Working in these workshops is no easy task in view of the ongoing situation in Syria. The number of glass-blower craft workers has reduced and the cost of fuel for the kilns has risen.

However, the Syrian craftsmen continue to exercise their profession using age-old techniques to earn a living and to pass on their expertise and skills to future generations.
